Therese Mitchell, MS, LPC, NCC

Hello! My name is Therese Mitchell and I am a Pennsylvania Certified School Counselor (grades PK-12), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and National Certified Counselor (NCC). I received my Master of Science in Clinical Psychology from Millersville University in 2012 and my School Counseling certification from West Chester University in 2020. Before becoming a School Counselor, I worked in the mental health field for over 10 years as a therapist in multiple roles and levels of care. I have worked at Child Guidance Resource Centers as a BSC/MT, The Light Program Partial Hospital as a therapist/case manager, and as a Licensed Professional Counselor in private practices. I currently teach Psychology courses at Delaware County Community college and have been teaching there for over 10 years.

I currently live in Downingtown with my wonderful husband, Brian, and two children named Kora  and Ashton. I was born and raised in Downingtown and graduated from Downingtown West High School in 2005. Growing up, I was a gymnast and became a gymnastics coach at age 13. Working with children has been my passion since I was a child! I spent my teen years coaching gymnastics, working as a camp counselor, babysitting, and working at Wawa. In my free time, I enjoy working out at the gym, playing kickball on Thursday nights, being outside, shopping, and spending time with my family and friends.
