Mrs. Dawn Wooten
Mrs. Dawn Wooten has lived in Chester County, Pennsylvania her whole life. She graduated from Octorara Area School District. Coming from numerous generations of teachers and administrators, along with several very inspiring teachers during her days at Octorara, Mrs. Wooten chose to become a teacher herself. She graduated from United Wesleyan Bible College with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Bible Studies and K-8 Certification for Christian Schools. She earned her Public Certification (K-8) and completed her graduate work at West Chester University. She completed her student teaching requirements at Mary D. Lang (Kennett Consolidated School District) in Second grade and at Rainbow Elementary School (Coatesville Area School District) in Fifth grade. Mrs. Wooten has taught at Rainbow Elementary School for the last 34.5 years. She has taught as a Reading Teacher, Third Grade Teacher, First Grade Teacher, and is now teaching Kindergarten. Mrs. Wooten holds a Master’s degree in Elementary Education and carries 60+ credits beyond this degree. Mrs. Wooten and her husband have two children. Their son is a Worship Director and their daughter is studying Music Education, K-12 in college.
