Clearance Information:
To apply for any position, the following clearances (dated within 1 year) are required:
Act 151 – Child Abuse Clearance
For questions related to the Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance, please contact the ChildLine Verification Unit at (717)783-6211 or toll free at (877)371-5422.
Act 34 – PA Criminal History Clearance
Be sure to click “print certificate” to print actual clearance prior to exiting the system. If you have a problem and you do not get your report or control number, please call (888)783-7972 for assistance.
Act 114 - FBI Background Clearance (fingerprints)
The Pennsylvania Department of Education utilizes IdentoGO to process fingerprint based FBI criminal background checks for employees and prospective employees of public and private schools. The Pennsylvania Department of Education system must be used for ALL school employees, school contractors and student teachers. For questions about your FBI clearance, please contact the FBI/Adam Walsh Unit at (717)783-6211.
