Coatesville Area Senior High is proud to announce the addition of the Coatesville Athletic Leadership Council (CALC) to athletics. The mission of CALC is for Student-Athlete leaders to create a positive environment through community service, school spirit, and leadership activities that will impact the school community and beyond.
CALC consists of about 30 members, including one senior and one junior representative from each team. Representatives were chosen by their head coach, and fellow CALC team member. These students embody the leadership skills that will help build upon and foster to strengthen our teams, schools, and neighborhoods.
The CASD Athletics Department, along with Dwayne Walton (Parkesburg Point), Josh Crans (The Bridge Academy), and Mark Mintzer (Youth Mentoring Partnership) look forward to sharing experiences and lessons from this inaugural year of leadership development.
CALC meets once a month, specifically every 3rd Wednesday of the month, at the Parkesburg Point, Bridge Academy, and/or The United Way of Chester County. These outstanding facilities have allowed our council to meet and apply mental and physical leadership exercises that they can use to connect to their team, school, and community.
