Ms. Cynthia K. Poyer-Ford
I have been teaching general music and chorus at King's Highway Elementary School since 2002. I have been employed by the Coatesville Area School District since 2001. I recieved my Bachelor of Music Education from SUNY Potsdam, and my Masters in Bass Performance from The University of Colorado in Boulder. I have been teaching music for 24 years and I'm so glad I get to work with incredible students everyday! I like to make learning fun in my classroom as I teach the curriculum. In music class, children learn how to read music, play instruments, and explore music, while being immersed in a safe learning environment where everyone is welcome to share their thoughts and opinions on all different types of music. We listen to varying genres of music such as pop, rock, ethnic and classical. I also direct and lead the chorus at Kings Highway, as we perform two concerts during the year. During December, you can catch us singing at our Holiday Concert, and again in the Spring!
